The South Malvern Cemetery is located on Coaltrack Road approximately 1km west of Coalgate.

It serves the communities of Malvern Ward. The area is surrounded by trees, has well kept lawns and is generally well cared for. The cemetery was established around 1880. The average burial rate 2002-2006 was 6 per year.
The total area of the cemetery is 23,390m2, but includes 1,440m² of grave area lawn and 4,625m² of medium lawn. Approximately 15 trees and several hedgerows provide shade and serenity.
