Ellesmere Catholic Cemetery is located on Southbridge Leeston Road between Bealey Road and Pooles Road, approximately 3 km south of Leeston.

The area is pleasant and well landscaped. There were 15 burials at this cemetery in the past 5 years. 2.6.2 Facilities The total cemetery area is approximately 8,000 m2 of which 2,600 m2 is used for graves, while 5,100m2 available as medium lawn.
The site is close to the road with a wooden vehicle and pedestrian gate. There is a wide concrete path through the centre of the cemetery and hedging around the south-western and south-eastern boundaries.

The cemetery was established in 1874 and serves the Catholic community of the Ellesmere Ward. It is now owned and operated by the Selwyn Council.
