Ellesmere Cemetery is located on Feredays Road approximately 500m west of the intersection with Pooles Road, and about 3km south of Leeston.

It serves the communities of the Ellesmere Ward. The area is well landscaped with tree lined roadways and well maintained hedges. There were 95 burials at this cemetery in the past 2001-2006.
The total cemetery area is approximately 102,300 m2 of which 8,075 m2 is used for graves, while 26,900 m2 is available as lawn. Included in the cemetery is a concrete plastered wall and metal gate for the RSA area.
